Week In Review
Moving in the Right Direction
Still no flying cars, but Google glasses give a glimpse of the future. This week, the massive search engine announced Project Glass. Basically, they’re glasses that will integrate the functionality of your smartphone into eyewear. You’ll be able to take a picture of what you’re looking at, make a phone call, send a text, etc., and the list goes on.

Life will be like a video game. The glasses will use, augmented reality (AR), a term that’s starting to get thrown around outside the tech world. Remember Terminator? You’ll be able to see like that (sorry, no Superman vision yet). With one glimpse, you can access information about a business, product, location or whatever, directly through your line of sight.
Danger! Of course, there are some safety concerns. We’re having a difficult time being distracted with our electronic devices now. Just as Google released a video of the glasses, shortly thereafter funny, but point-making videos like this one began to appear.
Maybe it will be like living in Scott Pilgrim’s world, where you can earn points, level up, compete – okay, enough geeking out.
What do you think about Project Glass?

I don’t think anyone would actually use these!
